Greetings again from SKSHQ, the dust clouds just settled from Hootenanny and I think I contracted a pompadour and a couple more tattoos. Unfortunately, we had to reschedule the Colorado shows due to timing conflicts, but we plan on heading for the Rockies to play some make-up shows in October. Stay tuned for updates.
Next month we’ll be returning to our home away from home, the Blank Club with The Burning Embers (Bluegrass/S.F.) and Los Duggans (Civil war march country punk…?/ L.A.). We’ll also be returning to the studio to start work on our long-awaited fourth album tentatively titled, “Conciones por los Barrachos”.

Greetings again from SKSHQ. The Shit/Shoot was an amazing show! (ShitKickers/Shooter Jennings @ The Catalyst). Waylon Jr. is one cool cat with some great road stories. Listen up for SKS on his “Electric Rodeo” show Saturday and Sunday nights on Outlaw Country on SIRIUS satellite radio.

Next month we play the sixteenth annual June Babies festival in Sonora. This will be our fourth J.B. in a row and it gets bigger and better every year.

In July we’ll be at the Hootenanny in Irvine with the likes of Social Distortion, Mojo Nixon, and Wayne “The Train” Hancock. Later in the month we’ll be heading out to Colorado to play some Big Bender shows with the rest of the family.

Hello again from SKSHQ. Thanks to our hometown friends for making the Blank Club show another sold out success. It’s always a friggin’ riot when we play San Jose. Big ups to Axton Kincaid for opening the show and sealing the deal. They killed it. Thanks to our good buddies Old Bull from L.A., too. If all goes according to plan, we’ll be taking the whole show on the road soon. Upcoming shows include St. Pat’s in Hollywood and Hootenanny in The O.C.

So, we’re always working here at SKSHQ. We’ve got about half of the new songs worked out for the upcoming fourth album. More banjo, more fishing, and of course, more whiskey.
We had a great night in Long Beach last weekend at Willie Cash’s West Coast Jamboree. Willie Cash and his Cashiers were friggin’ awesome! We’ll be having another country ho-down at The Blank in San Jose, CA next month featuring Axton Kincaid and Old Bull.
Check the calendar for upcoming shows including Hootenanny and South Park Music Festival.
